AWICI Mashinani is a transformative grassroots program designed to integrate women farmers into every stage of the coffee value chain, from farm to market.
We work directly with women in rural Kenyan communities, providing them with the training, resources, and networks they need to become leaders in sustainable coffee production, cooperative governance, and climate-resilient farming.
Through hands-on training, mentorship, and access to markets, we’re not just improving livelihoods – we’re re-imagining the future of coffee as one that is equitable, sustainable, and community-driven.
Creating lasting change through empowerment, education, and economic opportunity
Comprehensive training in sustainable farming practices, post-harvest handling, quality control, and organic certification pathways.
Building confident leaders through cooperative governance training, financial literacy, and community organizing skills.
Connecting women farmers directly to premium markets, fair trade networks, and value-added opportunities in the coffee supply chain.
Equipping communities with climate-smart agriculture techniques, water conservation methods, and adaptive farming strategies.
This is just the beginning. AWICI Mashinani will expand to reach thousands of women across Kenya’s coffee-growing regions.
Implemented in collaboration with sector leaders committed to gender equity
